One of the main reasons I was so excited about trying a pair of VIVAIA shoes is because they are eco-friendly.
Each pair is made by recycling and repurposing 6 plastic water bottles. How, you might ask? Recycled materials obtained from plastic water bottles are turned into spools of thread which are used to knit the surface material for the shoes, creating a signature sustainable material that will last for years to come.
That means each pair of shoes you purchase, helps keep 6 water bottles out of the world’s oceans and prevents them from breaking down into harmful microplastics that can harm sea life.
The rest of the shoe is constructed from carbon-free rubber, vegan leather, or natural latex foam.
Each shoe is also made with a seamless design, making the construction of the shoes zero waste, and they are shipped directly to you in a 100% recyclable box.
Because VIVAIA is so sustainable, I never feel guilty about wearing them or building a collection of my favorite styles!

MACHINE OR HANDWASHABLE
Another reason I love my VIVAIA shoes is because each pair is easy to care for at home! We all love our shoes fresh out of the box, but sometimes life can get messy. Never fear – each and every pair of VIVAIA shoes are fully machine and hand washable!
To machine wash- remove the insole, out them in a wash pouch and toss it in the washing machine, add a gentle detergent, wash on ‘delicate’ with cold water, and leave them out to air dry.
To wash by hand-remove the insole, fill a sink, bathtub or basin with cold water, use your hands to scrub your shoes with a gentle detergent, rinse by completely submerging them in water, leave them out to air dry.
Its that easy to clean and wear again and again!
