If you follow me on Instagram you may well have seen the gorgeous blue ‘Jade’ Vivaia heeled sandals I was recently gifted. I purposely held this pair back for some blog post only content because, to be honest, I’m not a sensible footwear kinda girl, but their being so comfy and chic at the same time… as well as made (partially) from recycled plastic bottles, seemed like something to shout about.
When Vivaia shoes reached out to me to try their shoes, I only said yes because I thought the idea of sustainable footwear was impressive. Yet, you don’t get just one review in this post, but three different opinions along with some facts about the brand.
Sustainability is a hot topic. However, I doubt most understand what it truly means. I didn’t until recently to be honest, when I finally had my ‘aha!’ moment while lunching with a friend in Barcelona.

Today’s blog is a review of Vivaia, the sustainable shoe brand that I have been loving recently! Vivaia is an online female footwear brand which specialises in handcrafted shoes made out of eco friendly materials.
I don’t know about you, but whenever I reach a change of season I reflect on my wardrobe, and with Autumn now upon us I’m revisiting my capsule wardrobe to prepare for the colder months.
I had a pleasure of trying out a few styles of shoes from Vivaia which is an online women’s footwear brand that is super Eco-friendly as it is made from recycled water bottles (I know, so cool) and there is zero-waste function.
This pretty little block heel from VIVAIA shoes just radiates elegance. Better yet, it’s eco-friendly. We’ll get into those details in just a second, but first I wanted to explain the purpose behind this post.
This was my impression when I tried VIVAIA for the first time: “First of all, let me just say how pleased I was when I opened the shoes box and just by feeling it, the shoes were so soft (especially on the back, which is always a critical point for me when I buy shoes. Normal heels or sandals have a hard material on the back of the shoe, which always makes it impossible for me to walk any long distance or to walk at all.)
Which is why I was so excited to find Vivaia Collection this year. Classic and colorful flats that can be thrown in the wash? Yes, please! And they’re made of recycled plastic bottles? I was sold. Vivaia Collection shoes work so well with my vintage inspired outfits and help me follow my goals of shopping more sustainably. When I saw they had some new boots for autumn and winter I knew I wanted to try a pair for myself.
