Perfect black booties that feel like socks and are made out of 12 recycled plastic bottles? Did I mention that these are also most definitely vegan? Yes, please!
A few months ago I wrote an article about brands creating vegan sustainably made footwear and, I have to say, it was a little bit tricky to find many brands that I loved with reasonable prices. Fast forward 6 months or so and I am incredibly happy to say that the sustainable footwear game really is changing.
A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by VIVAIA, a brand that is using recycled plastic bottles to make shoes – making vegan sustainable shoes that “do not look like vegan sustainable shoes”. I immediately said yes and, I have to say, I have been in love with these booties ever since the moment I opened the box.
Not only are the boots super comfortable, but the design is incredibly versatile and timeless – these go with most pieces already in my wardrobe, so I will definitely be getting a ton of wear out of these. Most importantly, these just make sense – if you can wear a shoe that is made out of recycled materials without harming animals, then why wouldn’t you?
I was kindly gifted these Louise in Deep Ebony boots that you can find here.
You can check out the gorgeous collection here.
As always, lots of love,
Lena
